Welcome to Matchbox Handmade! I am a mom to three amazing kids and wife to my loving and supportive husband Ben. I am Canadian and live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta. I love creating clothing (mostly)… and I want to share my makes, tips, and favorite patterns/products.
How textiles are made is important to me. I am researching to find out more about textile manufacturing and fabrics. I firmly believe that we are going to see sewing grow in popularity; I want to be part of that revolution through Matchbox Handmade. It’s empowering to be able to sew your own clothes… that fit you! Also, people want to know how their clothes are made and I know for me, it’s important to me that my kids understand that process.
